Glück auf! Since mid-September my servers have been running something I missed for a long time: a World of Warcraft server on Wrath of the Lich King (patch 3.3.5a). It’s called Saarwacht, it’s free – and from today anyone can join.
No more “LFG tank”
Everyone knows the problem with small servers: you log in and nobody’s there. On Saarwacht you simply add the missing players to your group – bots that play their class, tank, heal, step out of the fire and know the tactics of many bosses. Add four bots and the dungeon can start, all the way up to Icecrown Citadel.
Two realms, one account
- Glück auf (PvE): double experience, reputation and professions, flying over the old continents, and raids even on your own.
- Schlackeberg (PvP): everything blizzlike as in 2010, plus a starter kit with bags and 10 gold – and battlegrounds that fill up with bots as soon as real players are queued.
What else is there
- one free character boost to level 58 or 68
- heirlooms for level points, sent straight to your mailbox
- transmogrification and an auction house that’s never empty
- free character transfers between the two realms
All you need is your own WoW client, version 3.3.5a. After signing up, your account page walks you through the setup step by step – for Windows and Linux, in English too. The server itself is German-speaking.
Saarwacht is a private, non-commercial fan project and not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment. Nobody can buy advantages there.
